Changes for 2010

  1. Additional entries may be accepted at the discretion of the Championship Manager after the closing date. The Entry Fee for such entries shall be £10.00 per event for individuals and £20 for teams.
  2. Draft programmes will be posted onto the ASANWR website as soon as possible after the closing date for the competition. These should be used to cross check the accuracy of swimmer entries and to allow any necessary corrections to be made. The final gala programmes will be produced as a result of any corrections that are received. Clubs will not receive individual confirmation of entries.
  3. Where a fine has been imposed at a previous regional competition, the individual(s) concerned shall not be eligible to swim in any future ASANWR event until the fine has been paid.
  4. Not a change but increased emphasis: ALL FINALISTS AND RESERVES MUST REPORT TO THE COMPETITORS STEWARDS FOR THE FINAL UNLESS THEY HAVE WITHDRAWN
  5. Each competing team shall declare their intention to swim by submitting to the recorders a list of the names of its swimmers in swim order no later than 11.00am on the first day of the Championships although subsequent amendments may be made. If a team sheet is not received by this time then the team concerned will be withdrawn from the event.
  6. Competition programme has been amended so that relay events are held at the start of sessions 2, 3 and 4. (As a test of the concept for the 2011 Youth and Age Group competitions and following representations from coaches.)
  7. Qualifying times amended in some cases based upon the session timelines in 2009.
  8. Finals withdrawal forms now have a receipt portion to be kept by the coach to prove delivery of the form if necessary.

Electronic Entry

Sportsystems meet management software will be used and the use of Sportsystems Entry Manager for submitting electronic entries is the preferred method for entry to these championships. Sportsystems Entry Manager has the capability to link to the ASA memberships database and the rankings database via the internet. For clubs to submit entries using this method they must download  Sportsystems Entry Manager 2.0 from the Sportsystems website (www.sportsys.co.uk). Use the links below to learn more about the new method and to download the necessary files.
